Coming soon - one of my recent short story projects, The Throwback.

Slowly, but surely, the dead zombie writer is seen climbing out of the pit. You should start running now...

About the author: Raymond Towers is an author of fantasy, horror and science fiction that strays away from the mainstream, plus a little in the way of true paranormal and other genres. He has written and independently published over forty titles, most of them full-length novels and collections, with several more on the way. The author has been a lifelong resident of warm and sunny southern California, a location that pops up frequently in his writing. At the moment, the author is looking for ways to reach new readers all over the world, in addition to pursuing his great love of writing and taking it to the next level.

04/15/2015 - It seems like every 5 days is a good time to post. My article Science-Based Starships is available on the Freebies page. I've got another meme and wallpaper up. I'm going to post the Starship article in segments over on my writer's blog. Feel free to visit to have a read online, and leave a positive comment if you like it. I'm going to start editing my next project, The Throwback, probably tomorrow. That will be available in 5 or 10 days over on Drive Thru RPG. I'll post more details as I get that ready. I might also post a good excerpt on the writer's blog as well.

04/10/2021 - Verum Et Inventa is available on Smashwords. The e-zine was reformatted because I'm using LibreOffice and Linux now, instead of Word on my old Mac. I did not like the way Smashwords ignored some of my changes, but the issues are minor and I am happy with the way it turned out. I'm going to keep that in mind when I reformat the second issue. I have uploaded another meme and wallpaper on their respective pages, and I should be re-releasing my article Science Based Starships in a few days.

04/05/2021 - I believe VET 1 is going to pass the review on Smashwords, but then again it's been five days and I'm still waiting for their answer. I have downloaded the PDF and Epub versions, and they look fine to me. VET 1 is officially available, I've set out a new meme and wallpaper, and let's see... Oh, yeah, I want to add an update to the CC Story Archive. I'm going to work on that right now. Update: Added Part 2 to the Frankie 4 Fingers Intro in the CC Story Archive. I forgot to mention, I've revised the Write This CC Challenge and the CC Story Archive to make them easier to read, and I have a new cover for the CC Archive. How am I going to get people to start writing the stories?

04/01/2021 - The CC Story Archive has been updated with a second character intro. I've got a new Wallpaper up, and I'll be back later today or tomorrow with another meme. Verum Et Inventa No.1 has been submitted to Smashwords, and it is available right now, but just in case there are any problems with the new Linux version I am waiting until the 5th to make the official announcement.

03/25/2021 - I've updated the Cyberpunk Challenge Story Archive with the first character I've created from the Challenge notes. Also, another wallpaper is up on the Freebie page.

03/22/2021 - I finally got Non-Retrieval approved by Smashwords. That means it is available in Epub format. Get your copy today and read it on your favorite e-reading device!

03/20/2021 - Uploaded the Verum Et Inventa Cyberpunk Challenge Story Archive. That's a mouthful! I tried to uploaded a new wallpaper but for some reason it didn't go through. I'll try again shortly.

03/15/2021 - Uploaded a new image on the Freebies / Wallpaper page. I might be back later today with a new addition to the Cyberpunk Challenge series.

03/13/2021 - Still working on the Non-Retrieval epub edition. I have also been busy preparing a PDF with a lot of cyberpunk notes, and I'd like to give fellow writers the chance to look them over and write some Creative Commons / Open World stories with them. That's what the Cyberpunk Challenge is about. Also, I've put up a new meme, so you people who can see the truth when you step in it can check that one out on the memes page. Update: the Cyberpunk Challenge stuff has been posted on this site.

03/09/2021 - Non-Retrieval is officially available, except in epub format, which unfortunately is what most people use on their reading devices. I do have a working epub version, but I'm not having success in getting that past Smashwords' converting program. I may end up offering the epub as a direct sale item through this website. I also might come up with a promotion of Non-Retrieval on my writer's blog (see the Wordpress link above), where I give away a few free samples of the novella under a Creative Commons copy and share license, to help get the word out. Look for an announcement on the blog in a day or two. My next re-release will be issue 1 of Verum Et Inventa magazine. That's coming up towards the end of the month as I gear up for my next novel, which will be novel... What is it, the fifth novel in the Dobrynia's Path / Cyberpunk series, or number 9 overall in the DP books. In the meantime, I think I'll write some unrelated short stories for the next couple of weeks to clear my head up. Writing a long series does take a lot of mental effort!
